Cryo What?!

  I knew I was pushing myself hard both mentally and physically to reach a goal. It had taken a toll on my aging body over the years. 40 was upon me and it was a whole new world for me.
  
  While the frozen peas were working, they were cumbersome and a pain in the ass to get out every night and then it was 15-20 min. of sitting there for it to work. So I would forget to use them or didn't want to go through the hassle of getting them out of the freezer and the thought of one more 15 min cold shower was enough to give me anxiety. So, I slacked off on what was working and back came the pain. The pain led to less sleep and as you know sleep in the magic man for recovery. I saw myself sliding back to looking into shots again, or trying a new medication, or both. I didn't want that. I didn't want to hurt anymore. I wanted to wake up feeling recovered. Why was there nothing to solve this ongoing problem?!

  Then I came across an article in a Mens Health magazine about Chryotherapy? Cryo what? What the hell is this? I'm not about to jump into a frozen lake or river. Sorry not happening!

  What exactly is Cryotherapy? Could it help me? Well lets just say after doing some research it sounded like the fountain of youth! Developed in the late 70's by a Japanese scientist, for rheumatoid arthritis patients, it then took off into Europe where to this day it is an actual medical device. It had been in the USA for about a decade and is popping up in every major sports training center.  

  What could Cryo do for me? Could this help? Better yet was there one near me? So I searched but nothing close. Every 2-3 months I would search until one day there it was! A Cryo place had opened up. It wasn't really close, but I would make the drive to see if this was all it was cracked up to be. So I hopped into my car and made the daily trek. The European standard is one to 2 sessions per day for 5-6 days. This reprograms your body to help deal with inflammation better and rid it from our bodies much faster.
